Careers in Science Recruiting High School Interns
Attention, San Francisco high school teachers!
Do you know any promising students who would benefit from a long-term, immersive science education and youth development experience? Are these students from backgrounds typically under-represented in the sciences, such as women and youth of color? Then take note: the Academy’s Careers in Science (CiS) program is now recruiting for new interns to start this summer.
Applicants must:
* Attend school in San Francisco;
* Currently be in 9th or 10th grade;
* Have a cumulative 2.0 GPA;
* Be able to obtain a valid work permit;
* Be able to commit to all attendance requirements, including trainings, after-school, weekend, and summer work, on a year-round, multi-year basis.
This is a paid, work-based experience in which interns learn science, teach science to others, and conduct science. Interns also receive job skills, college prep, and transferable life skills trainings. This is an amazing opportunity – please help us find amazing youth!
