Save The Bay’s Teacher Professional Development Workshop
Save the Bay will be hosting a 3-day (JUNE 28-30, 2010) teacher professional development workshop: “Ecology In Education”. Through this workshop educations will:
- Participate in hands-on education and restoration activities focused on the ecology of the Bay and its watershed.
- Learn about and explore San Francisco Bay by canoe
- Connect environmental education with California content standards
- Create Bay-specific lesson plans to teach in your classroom
- Receive Save The Bay’s Standards-correlated Watershed Education curriculum
DETAILS:
- This workshop takes place at our canoe and restoration sites in Oakland and Palo Alto, from 9:00-4:00.
- The workshop is geared to middle and high school teachers
- Classroom teachers of grades 5 through 12 receive a stipend of $100
