RoboGames Schools Get in Free Day
Attention teachers, students, makers, innovators, after school programs and everyone else who enjoys learning:
Friday, April 23rd is Learning Groups Get In Free day at RoboGames 2010!
RoboGames is the world’s largest open robot competition, welcoming all competitors in over 70 different events from 25 different countries every year since 2004. More robots under one roof than iPhones at a tech convention - walking robots, sumo robots, art robots, robots that play hockey, robots that do Kung Fu, robots that navigate autonomously, all made by people from all over the world with a passion for what they are doing.
This year at RoboGames (taking place at the San Mateo County Expo Center), we invite all students - college groups, homeschoolers, scout troops, after school programs, science classes, computers clubs, etc, to experience the wonder of math, science and engineering put to a practical purpose – Robots! See teams from all over the world gearing up to compete, up close and personal! Teams will be available for questions, answer and autographs. There will also be interactive exhibits, information sessions on how schools can get involved next year, live preliminary competitions, and a chance to see backstage at RoboGames.
Register your group today by mailing simone@robogames.net or call 415.307.3482
One free chaperone per 10 students, please RSVP!
RoboGames takes place April 23-25th, 2010 at the San Mateo County Expo Center, from 12 noon to 7pm every day.
