Los Angeles Unified School District Seeks Science Teachers
The Los Angeles Unified School District will be recruiting teachers in San Francisco, CA June 1 & 2, 2011. We are recruiting Credentialed Teachers in Chemistry, Physics, Moderate/Severe Special Education,
Deaf/Hard of Hearing, Speech/Language Pathology, Foreign Language Mandarin, and Foreign Language Korean teachers to teach middle and high school students.
We are excited about the prospect of speaking with students who may have completed a Teacher Preparation Program or considered a career in teaching.
- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college / university
- Official transcripts for bachelor’s degree reflecting a minimum GPA of 2.7
- Passage of the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST)
- Passage of subject matter competency exam (via Praxis and SSAT or CSET, see table below) or subject matter waivers are accepted for those who have completed their degree in a California institution and have completed a university waiver program. A university waiver verification letter is required for documentation. (CSET test results expire after 5 years)
